Hope 2020

Nov 29, 2020 | Pastor Jake Waybright

Hope: Heaven on Earth

Hope is the tug of heaven we experience calling us forward to a better future. We will remember that waiting, as Israel did, is part of the journey of faith. Look at the names: "Wonderful Counselor" and "Prince of Peace," and remember that in Jesus, heaven came to earth and because of Jesus we are in a different position than the prophets. We live with the now of Jesus presence with us and the not yet of what is yet to come.

Series Information

December 6-20, 2020 Sunday Sermon Series

This year's Advent season will be like none before. One of the most challenging parts of 2020 was holding on to hope as we came to grips with the face that, as humans, we can't control or manage everything in life. This Advent, we will go on a journey to see with fresh eyes how the coming of Christ, Emmanuel, gives us strength for the present AND hope for the future.
