Group DetailsLadies, mark your calendars and grab a friend!
Our Women's Retreat is coming up on Saturday, March 28 from 9:00am-3:30pm at CUMC, and it's going to be a beautiful day of connection, encouragement, and renewal.
We're thrilled to welcome Rev. Melissa Madara as our retreat leader for a powerful and timely experience titled, "Silos to Shalom: Spiritual Practices for Reconnecting in a Disconnected World."
In a world that often feels busy, noisy, and isolating, this retreat is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover the peace (shalom!) that comes from reconnected with God and one another. Expect meaningful conversation, practical spiritual practices, and space to reflect and recharge.
There's no cost to attend.
Lunch is provided
Childcare available from 8:45am-12:30pm (just indicate your need when you register)
All you need to bring is yourself and a willingness to step away from the "silos" for a few hours.
Registration is required and closes March 23, so don't wait! Invite a friend and come be part of a day that just might be exactly what your heart needs.

Parent Check-In is a relaxed, come-as-you-are gathering for CUMC parents and caregivers. This month we're taking it on the road to Midway Bowling for a fun, low-pressure night of connection. No agenda. No awkward icebreakers. Just bowling, conversation, and a chance to be with other parents who get it.
You don't have to be a great bowler. You don't even have to bowl if you don't want to. Come to hang out, grab some food, share a story or two, and connect with other parents walking the same season of life.

Despite the crucifixion's central place in Christian faith, the New Testament offers few clear answers about how Jesus' death saves, or way, exactly, he had to die. The New Testament writers use a host of metaphors - ransom, sacrifice, reconciliation, victory - but never explain exactly how it works or why it had to happen this way. What if that's because we've been asking the wrong question? What if the cross isn't a transaction to be explained, but a living Word from God meant to transform who we are and how we live? Led by Pastor Jim VanZandt. Book available on Amazon.
