The Vital Conversations on Immigration series was developed to help local churches explore a sacred calling: a Church that embodies justice, mercy, and hospitality. Each of the 5 sessions will invite us into deeper reflection on the realities of immigration today, guided by the voices of faith leaders, theologians, advocates, and immigrants themselves. Immigration is not merely a political issue - it is a theological and spiritual matter deeply rooted in our Christian faith.

At 12:30pm in the Chapel join us for a special Food & Friends Community Speaker event featuring Jennifer Wilt, a trusted leader in mental health advocacy. This is a meaningful opportunity for anyone seeking support, understanding, or connection for mental health awareness. All are welcome - invite a friend, neighbor, or anyone seeking hope and connection. Presented in partnership with NAMI of Cumberland & Perry Counties.

Help bless those housed at Cumberland County Prison by donating home-baked cookies or volunteering to help pack them. Our goal is 400 dozen this year! Packing takes place on December 18 at 6:30pm at Project SHARE.

Cookies can be dropped off at Project SHARE (5 N. Orange St, Carlisle) on: Tuesday, Dec 16, 8am-4pm; Wednesday, December 17, 8am-4pm; Thursday, December 18, 8am-5:30pm or bring them to the cookie pack at 6:30pm.

Mindful Women meets the second Monday of the month from September thru May; our quarterly dinner meetings at 6pm at CUMC are on September 8, December 8, March 9, and May 11). These dinner meetings are lively and fun. We also meet in two small group sessions each of the other months (October 13, November 10, January 12, February 9, and April 13) at 1 or 6pm. Small group sessions are held in-person and via Zoom, during which we study and discuss various Bible or CUMC mission topics. This season we will use the book, "Alone, Together," by Brian Houser, a collection of short essays that encourage us to find ways to pause, to notice, and to reconnect.
