When things are challenging (nationally, locally or even in our homes) we all ask the question, "Where is God in this?" Pastor Mira looked at where God was in Paul's midst while he wrote this letter. Pastor Jim shared where God is in our midst after the UMC General Conference decision about LGBTQ marriage and clergy, and the Bonn family shared where God is in their midst as their son receives cancer treatments. The New Testament book of Philippians best illustrates the Christian life as both happy and holy. Even while in chins in prison, the Apostle Paul writes this letter filled with encouragement, joy, and faith. He also reminds the readers that while they may currently be in a season of suffering, they will share one day in Christ's glorious resurrection. Join us during this series to learn from Paul's letter to the Philippians that which applies to our lives today.
