Let's Do Unto Others: Kindness, Respect, Love, Humility, Compassion...
How do you want to be treated?
There's a phrase, commonly known as The Golden Rule, that simple states: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." A version of this teaching can be found in almost every major religion. This universal rule holds the power to bring people together.
This fall, CUMC will be campaigning for KINDNESS. Throughout the month of October we will be talking about how we can be a POSITIVE force in our community and world as we "Do Unto Others."
During the CUMC's Campaign for Kindness, we will have lots of opportunities to Serve. We will have pop-up events, prepare/serve meals, and collect donations for those in our community. Pop-Up Events after worship
On October 20, 27, and November 3 after worship volunteers will make, assemble, pack items, and write cards to give to those in need of help and support in our community. . Sign up to help here.
Donation Collection before worship
Help collect donations for Safe Harbour and Project Share before worship on Nov 10. Sign up to help here.
Trunk or Treat Pop-Up Event
On Oct 26 help kids make spice packs for Project Share for families during the holidays during CUMC's Trunk or Treat event to be distributed to Project Share, 3:15-6:15pm. Sign up to help here.

On Nov 2 help with a Serve project in our Boiling Springs community, 9am-Noon. Sign up to help here

As part of this campaign, we are selling t-shirts and yard signs (yard signs available for purchase in the Church Office for $10/each). Plan to join the campaign as TOGETHER we spread the message of KINDNESS! (t-shirts take about 2 weeks to be printed and delivered).
